John ("JJ") Jackson, NCC, LGPC
JJ is a compassionate and transparent therapist with experience working with children and adults in several settings, including inpatient, community-based, crisis and hospitals.
His goal is to partner with you in working towards constructing a life that is free of constraints and would cherish the opportunity to help you lean into your power. His professional interests include working with People of Color, sexuality and gender diverse identities and expression, other marginalized and historically excluded clients.
He has worked with folks dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and chronic illnesses, like HIV/AIDS. JJ adopts a multicultural lens to ensure that all your identities are affirmed. In therapy, JJ prefers to use cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, person-centered, and narrative approaches to therapy.
JJ is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
