JJ is a compassionate and collaborative therapist and has experience working with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings.
JJ's clinical interests include LGBTQ+ identity development, human sexuality, anxiety, mood disorders, attachment concerns, depression, chronic health conditions like HIV and multicultural concerns.
JJ utilizes an integrated approach to therapy that incorporates a multicultural framework and psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal process, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches.
JJ will make sure to hold space for all of you and will help fortify value and work towards increased authenticity. Together, you and JJ can work towards constructing a life that is free of constraints. JJ would cherish the opportunity to help you lean into your power.
JJ uses a mixture of directive and nondirective approaches to help clients reshape their worldview. Clients often describe the session with
JJ as restorative, refreshing, and affirming which aids in clients showing up as their full selves without judgment and have the courage to do it all the time.

JJ is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
