Kristine Lyons, LMSW
Kristine is a Licensed Social Worker with a career spanning over 15 years since obtaining her license in 2008. She has practiced in both Washington, DC, and the greater Baltimore area of Maryland, working with individuals of all ages using a person-centered approach. Specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and aligning her work with systems theory, Kristine also incorporates motivational interviewing and mindfulness into her practice.
Kristine excels in helping clients navigate depression and anxiety. Her expertise extends to assisting teens and adults in building healthier relationships with themselves, their peers, and their families. She is well-versed in treating individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, adjustment issues, major depression, and anger-related issues. Her therapeutic focus includes identifying and managing emotional triggers and addressing any cognitive dysfunctions related to these triggers.
Kristine believes in a collaborative approach, empowering clients to understand their thoughts and emotions. She is passionate about creating and finding resources for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, supporting them through their emotional challenges.
