Chirashree Manik, LGPC
Chirashree Manik (she/her) is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland and a graduate of the Master of Science in Counseling (Clinical Mental Health Track) program at the Johns Hopkins University. Originally from India, she is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, and brings a strong multicultural lens to her clinical work.
Chirashree is passionate about creating a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive space where clients feel safe to explore their identities, challenges, and hopes without judgment. She works from a place of deep empathy and cultural humility, honoring the many lived experiences clients bring into the therapy room.
Chirashree's therapeutic approach
Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She values CBT for its structured, skill-building approach to navigating thought patterns and behaviors; Person-Centered Therapy for its emphasis on authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard; Existential Therapy for its depth in exploring questions of meaning, identity, and choice; and Solution-Focused Therapy for its empowering, strengths-based focus on achievable change.
Outside of her clinical work, Chirashree enjoys stand-up comedy, watching films and series, being in nature and around art, and exploring different cities and cultures.
